Linux Servers

While most people know of Microsoft's server offerings, not everyone is aware that there are alternatives for File & Print sharing as well as SQL server solutions.  Linux is a viable alternative to the Microsoft offerings.  We have replaced countless Windows NT and even Windows 2000 servers with the "Linux Alternative".  Here are some of the advantages to Linux:

• The Operating System itself is FREE - no "per-seat" licensing

• Almost all administration is completed via a Web Based Management Console

• Stability!  While the recent generations of Microsoft's Server Operating Systems are much more stable than their predecessors, Linux is based on 30+ years of Unix debugging.  We often have clients with Linux servers that haven't been rebooted in over a year! 

• Performance!  Linux, under normal conditions, operates in "text" mode.  This reduces the overall Operating System overhead allowing Linux to perform better on lower end hardware than most other graphical operating systems.  Linux also benefits from the 30+ years of Unix performance tweaking as well.  

 

Internet & Intranet Server Solutions

We offer 10+ years of expertise in web & messaging server solutions.  Here is a list of just a few of the server solutions we offer:

• We are Authorized Resellers for the Mdaemon Mail Server and all other Alt-N products.  Mdaemon provides a completed mail server solution for Windows-based servers.  It includes Spam Protection, Web Based E-mail, Multi-domain hosting, address book sharing, and a multitude of other enhancements and optional add-on components.

• Apache Web Server.  Apache is the #1 web server product used in the Internet.  We provide complete Apache solutions on both Linux & Windows server platforms.
